Some small scale ink collages I've been playing around with this past month.
I don't normally work with ink, but there's something seductive about the depth and range of black that can be achieved.

This is an older installation, but something I've been considering lately.
Installed temporarily at the Stranahan Arboretum, this project consisted of 100 individually cut pieces of fabric which were then printed on, cut into, and strung together. The project was inspired by Tibetan prayer flags that are traditionally printed with mantras in the hopes that the wind will carry the goodwill and compassion to the surrounding areas. An installation of 365 screen printed postcards with handwritten notes and hand tinting for each.
Visitors were asked to take postcards in hopes that they would send well wishes to others. this is our year . screen print, watercolor and graphite . 2013 . http://wordpress.utoledo.edu/cvpa/index.php/visual-and-performing-arts-students-honored/
